in another life
we take comfort in the thought
that tonight
will not be our last
these tears have no need
to be dried
as they have not fallen
nor formed in our eyes
there is no worry
that our beds may feel empty
nights becoming motionless
mornings unbearably desolate
in another life
we are only strangers once
our hearts together as one
